What happened

A thin morning

This morning showed how few shares it took to move BKHA. The float is only 426K shares. It opened at $12.99, one cent under the prior $13.00 close.

At 9:37 it printed $13.77, the regular-session high, on just 720 shares. A minute later it was back at $12.87.

Two halts, two directions

Here the two halts reopened in opposite directions. At 11:38 the price fell from $12.74 to $11.30 in one minute.

A few minutes later it was halted, with the last trade at $12.00. It reopened about 14 minutes later at $9.50, 21% lower. A minute after that it hit $8.73, the day's low.

A second halt came at 12:04:41, with the last trade at $10.45. That one reopened 15% higher, at $12.00.

The 8-K after the bell

On this day the real move came after the close. The regular session ended at $12.86 on only 8,451 shares.

At 4:16 p.m. the company filed an 8-K, a current report. By 4:18 the stock was at $16.00. The high was $19.50 in the 4:19 minute, on 19K shares that minute.

By 4:32 it had dropped to $11.21, 43% off the top. After hours, 156K shares traded, far more than the regular session. The last bar closed at $12.99.

What to take from it: On BKHA, a few hundred shares set the price, the halts reopened both lower and higher, and the after-hours spike gave back 43% fast.
